AN inventor is celebrating after a product he developed has been taken up by a major hardware chain. Michael Tsang, 39, a property developer from Holland-on-Sea, has created the downlight heat diffuser, a gadget which neutralises the heat generated by downlighters in homes. He says it makes lighting safer by reducing intense heat that downlighters can generate, which can be a fire risk. The downlight heat diffuser also allows insulation to be put over the top of the light, meaning it is more eco-friendly. His invention will go on sale in B&Q stores at the end of January, and will cost £9.98 for a pack of two.
